Getting to the rear bolt on the coil pack for any Mazda Miata from 1990-2000 requires a good flex-head wrench, double-jointed fingers, and a tolerance for bloody knuckles. It's such a frustrating job that many people never bother to reinstall that bolt when they put the coil pack back in. Unfortunately, leaving the bolt off let's the coil pack vibrate, leading to fatigued arms, a broken bracket, and eventually misfires and poor running because of a damaged coil pack or damaged spark plug wires. So what's the solution? |
