Simply put, this is the finest exhaust header available for the Mazda Miata. The combination of its 304-stainless steel construction, and extensively dyno tested 4-to-1 design optimize both the performance and longevity of the product. This is the only off-the-shelf header HPMotors has found that can withstand racing conditions without failure, and is run on all of our race cars.
These headers are made in batches, and it can take some time to get the finished product. Please call for availability or for any help choosing the correct part for your car. Emissions and fitment: Please make sure to specify your specific car year to ensure correct version of the header. All emission provisions are retained, but the product is not California CARB certified. As with all modifications, it is up to the buyer to verify the legality of its use on public roads. Some '99-'05 Miatas had a pre-catalytic converter located in their header, and will need to purchase the 02 sensor extension harnesses to move the sensors further downstream. Removal of the precat in these cars makes them no longer CARB and emissions compliant. Important. This header will NOT work with a hot-side supercharger. |

Racing Beat again provides a top notch product in terms of build construction, design, and thorough testing. 304-stainless steel construction and smooth mandrel bends provide excellent flow through the 1.75" primaries of this "shorty" header design, particularly opening up flow and gaining performance above 4,700 RPM. Noticeable throttle response is another advantage. This header pairs nicely with the Cosworth supercharger kit.
These headers are made in batches, and it can take some time to get the finished product. Please call for availability. Emissions and fitment: This design eliminates the first catalytic converter located in the original header. Extended wiring harnesses must also be purchased to move the 02 sensors to the secondary catalytic converter located in the mid-pipe and avoid a check engine light. This exhaust is not California CARB legal. As with all modifications, it is up to the buyer to verify the legality of its use on public roads. This header should work with all aftermarket midpipes using the same joint design as the factory design. |
