Fidanza is a performance parts manufacturer specializing in clutch kits, adjustable cam gears and flywheels among other items. Dread Nought Racing uses Fidanza flywheels and cam gears on their own race cars. From experience, we've found when it comes to aluminum performance parts,
Fidanza
is the answer.

Aluminum Flywheels

Miata '90-'93 (NA6)

The original 1.6l flywheel weighs around 14.75lbs. The much improved Fidanza aluminum tips the scales closer to 7.5lbs.  The considerable weight savings makes for easier rev matching, better throttle response, and improved hp/tq throughout the power band.

Replacement friction surfaces are available eliminating the need to resurface it as you would a steel flywheel. The part is also typically cheaper than resurfacing, adding another advantage.

Can be retrofitted to a '94-'05 Miata when used with a 1.6l clutch kit.

Miata  '94- '05 (NA8/NB1/NB2)

The original 1.8l flywheel weighs approximately 16-18.5 lbs depending on the year of the car, while the aluminum Fidanza comes in at approximately 8.5lbs. The considerable weight savings makes for easier rev matching, better throttle response, and improved hp/tq throughout the power band.

Replacement friction surfaces are available eliminating the need to resurface it as you would a steel flywheel. The part is also typically cheaper than resurfacing, adding another advantage.

Can be used to upgrade a '90-'93 NA6 Miata, when used with a 1.8l clutch kit.

Miata '06-'15 (NC1/NC2)

Aluminum flywheel for the 2.0l Miata. The stock steel flywheel is around 15-16 lbs, while the Fidanza is around 8 lbs. The considerable weight savings makes for easier rev matching, better throttle response, and improved hp/tq throughout the power band.

Replacement friction surfaces are available eliminating the need to resurface it as you would a steel flywheel. The part is also typically cheaper than resurfacing, adding another advantage.

Compatible with both the 5spd or 6spd manual transmission.

Miata '16 & Up (ND)

Aluminum flywheel for the Skyactiv 2.0l Miata. Just like the previous generation, the stock steel flywheel is around 15-16 lbs, while the Fidanza is around 8 lbs. This amount of weight savings makes for easier rev matching, better throttle response, and improved hp/tq throughout the power band.

Replacement friction surfaces are available eliminating the need to resurface it as you would a steel flywheel. The part is also typically cheaper than resurfacing, adding another advantage.

The MZR 2.0L in the '06-'15 Miata shares the same clutch disc diameter as the current generation of Miata, meaning the replacement friction surface for the Fidanza flywheel is also the same.

Adjustable Cam Gears

Mazda Miata '90-'97 (NA6/NA8)
Mazda Miata'99-'05 (NB1/NB2) Exhaust Cam Only

Fidanza aluminum cam gears bring more than just sex appeal to the engine bay (although it certainly is a nice bonus). Due to the "keyed" design of the stock cams and gears it is difficult at best to set mechanical timing individually to each cam, and to differentiate the timing from the crank.

These gears allow you to degree your cam timing to the specifications you desire, making them a perfect choice for performance/race engine builds.

NB1 Miatas (BP4W) will only be able to use an adjustable cam gear on the exhaust side due to the stock cam trigger sensor set up on the intake cam. Changing to an altered trigger sensor set-up will allow gears to be used on both cams on the BP4W.

NB2 Miatas (BP6D) will only be able to use an adjustable gear on the exhaust cam. The stock VVT intake cam system incorporates it's own unique intake cam gear.

These are NOT sold as a set, so please remember to specify the quantity needed when placing your order.
