Exhaust Systems and Components
Racing Beat Power Pulse
Racing Beat's Power Pulse system received serious revisions and testing for the 3rd generation Mazda Miata. The results? Exactly the quality you deserve.
You can expect a deep, subtle, bass tone during normal driving, while also being rewarded with a more aggressive sound during hard driving and hard acceleration. The perfect addition to give you sports car the classic sound. Emissions and Fitment: Please make sure to verify the specific year and body package of your Miata. The muffler uses the same hangers and attachment points as the stock system, making this 304-stainless steel piece an easy to bolt on component. The muffler includes dual 3.5" OD tips. This modification retains the catalytic converters. This keeps it emissions legal and also meets California sound level requirements. As with all modifications, it is up to the buyer to verify the legality of its use on public roads. Important: There are three slightly different designs for the muffler tips depending on which year and which body package you have. Make sure to select the correct option for you vehicle. This kit is the muffler ONLY. Mazda incorporates a welded catalytic converter into the midpipe. Please call for any help needed in choosing the correct parts for you car. Racing Beat Midpipe
Racing Beat's free-flowing midpipe eliminates the secondary catalytic converter to open up exhaust flow that much more. The resonator can optionally be left out for those looking to squeeze the last bit out of their exhaust.
Expect low level exhaust noise to deepen and get louder, particularly doing heavy load or heavy deceleration. Construction uses 2.4" stainless tubing with mandrel bends, and factory style hangers and mating flanges. This means the pipe can be uses with any other muffler or header combination that also uses the the same OEM style mating flanges. Emissions and Fitment: This midpipe eliminates the secondary catalytic converter, and not the primary. 02 sensor readings are taken from the primary converter. This means installation of the midpipe should not impact OBD-II systems or cause an engine code. However, removal of the cat means it still is not emissions or California CARB legal. As with all modifications, it is up to the buyer to verify the legality of its use on public roads. Important Fitment: Right hand drive vehicles must also use Racing Beat's header, available here, for correct fitment of this pipe. Otherwise it will be too short.
