2015 JCW MINI Roadster Hidden Trailer Hitch
You have a great car, and you have really sticky tires, but you have a problem. You really only need those special tires when you're at an event that calls for them. All the other times, your driving around on expensive tires when standard daily driver tires would do just fine. While a small, nimble, and powerful sports car offers the driver a lot in terms of driving enjoyment, they don't usually offer a lot in terms of space. There's just not enough room to carry all four wheels and tires, plus the tools to install them in your car when you travel to events. What to do?
Install a hidden hitch to let you pull a small trailer, of course. A small trailer/hidden hitch combo can more than double the amount of space in the typical small performance car, allowing it to carry it's own performance tires, and a storage compartment with room for basic tools and spare parts, a jack, air tank, a pop up awning, helmet, driving suit, and other items. This leaves even more space in a vehicle like this MINI to carry a cooler, small folding chairs, etc. in the trunk of the vehicle.
The end result is that you can now drive to and from an event on your regular tires, saving mileage on your expensive performance tires, and better prepared thanks to the ability to carry more equipment.
Hidden hitch options are offered for many different vehicles, so the difficulty in installing them can vary a lot. This installation is fairly involved, so let's take a look. Follow along with the gallery.

Everything is wrapped up! The smaller trailer hitch component (with the ball) stays with the trailer or in the trunk of the car when it is not being used. The result is a car that barely looks any different than before, but with a lot more flexibility.
